This series celebrates my lifelong muse of birds in flight — the way their expressive movements draw invisible lines across the grand paper of the sky.
In flight, birds see what we cannot.
We stand grounded in awe at their ability to take off at any given moment, instantly gaining a more abundant and spacious perspective. Symbols of transcendence and hope, birds inspire us to seek our own freedom with similar grace, and yet also, in community.
Let this image inspire and remind us to move beyond what we know, towards greater expansion.

Enjoying the freeing sense of experimentation that often accompanies working within a range of mixed media, fluid inks, and watercolour, I create my works within an inherently mindful process.
