The ancient Zen practice of ENSO involves one fluid motion with ink, in sync with the out-breath, creating an organic circular shape. The Japanese aesthetic, ‘Wabi-Sabi’ centers on the idea of beauty as "imperfect and impermanent." Both rich traditions inform this particular interpretation of an ENSO.
